Mary Ann Henley, 77, passed away on September 6th, 2026. Born to William and Janetta Dolle on December 29th, 1948, Mary Ann hailed proudly from a large family, being the fifth of nine children.
For years, Mary Ann worked as a Unit Secretary at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, where she made many of her lasting friendships. Mary Ann was a hardworking mother, as well as a loving grandmother, and great grandmother. There were few things in life that gave her more joy than being a “Grandmoo.” Those who knew her will remember her ability to make friends and conversation with anyone, her delicious meals, her love of dancing, and her giving heart.
She is survived by her two children, Stacy Henley Brindley (Elliott) and Christian Henley; grandchildren Ali Osterman (Josh) and Isabella Henley-King (Kyle); great grandchildren Gabriel, Emberly, Ashton, and Magnolia; sisters Rita O’Daniel and Celeste Price; as well as many dear nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Maurice Dolle, Martin Dolle, and William Dolle Jr.; sisters Jane Dolle, Sandra Reitmeier, and Joan Peters; all of whom she was eager to be reunited with.
A celebration of life service will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 747 Harrison Avenue, Louisville, KY 40217, on September 26 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will immediately follow at Amvets Preston Post, 1567 S. Shelby St. Louisville, KY., 40217.
