Mary Carmen Haynes Lewis
Mary (Carmen) was born June 12, 1974 at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Francisco California. Her family moved to Louisville Kentucky that same year and established their roots there. Mary attended PRP high school and went on to further her education at the Kentucky Technical Institute where she trained as a certified nursing assistant and later as a Phlebotomist working at various medical facilities. She also worked as a customer service representative for Cash America until she became ill and could no longer work. Carmen had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to sing and make people laugh, she loved her dogs. Through her kind and generous Spirit she helped many. She was loved, and will be greatly missed.
She leaves to mourn her 3 children, Devin, Branden and Donita, her mother Donita Southers, her stepfather Alphonzo Bridgeman, her brother Mack Germaine and his wife Racheal and their children Raena and Makell, her brother Dontrai and his sons Dontrai Jr. and Kaylem, and her brother EJ and his children Ejai, Jaelin and Dakota, uncles Bobby and Steven Thomas and their mother Barbara Thomas, also her former husband Deandre Lewis and his family, her cousins Cere Dewalt and family, her sisters in Christ Dana and Christina and a host of friends.
My darling daughter, may the Most High through His Son Jesus Christ Bless and keep you safe until we meet again.
Mama.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4
