Mary Miller Haley, born on August 22, 1938, in the warmth of a loving family, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was 86 years old. Mary leaves behind a legacy of generosity, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.
With a heart that truly embodied her devotion to humanity, Mary dedicated 20 years of her life as a Social Worker's Administrative Assistant. In this role, her love for others flowed seamlessly into her work, impacting countless lives with her professionalism and compassion. Those privileged to know her will fondly remember her radiant smile and the genuine warmth she exuded, which touched all who crossed her path.
Mary's interests extended beyond her professional commitments. She greatly cherished spending time with her family and their beloved pets. Her devotion to family was evident in every aspect of her life, and she fostered deep, loving relationships that will forever be remembered by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her beloved son, Richard Haley (Valerie), and her daughter, Susan O'Toole (Joe). Mary was also a proud grandmother to Matthew Haley (Brooklyn), Joey O'Toole, and Shea O'Toole. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Florence Setser; her niece, Nancy Wade (Bill); her nephew, Ron Setser (Leslie); and her great nephews, Travis Wade and Clay Setser.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton Miller and Emily Henry, who undoubtedly shaped the caring and compassionate woman she became.
In her final moments, Mary was surrounded by her loved ones, a testament to the deep connections she cultivated throughout her life. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
