Mary Lucille Ewing

Mary Lucille Ewing, age 98, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 4, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer's, with her family by her side. Mary was a native of Marion County, Kentucky, and was a homemaker and loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Ewing; and sons, David and Steve.

Lucille is survived by her son, James Ewing (Joyce); her daughters, Linda Marcum and Faye Gootee; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.; and a host of relatives and friends.

Special thanks to caregivers Linda and Mike Marcum and other caregivers along the way, including Hosparus and especially Nikki.

Visitation will be 3-8pm Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Lucille's life will be 11am Wednesday, January 10th at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
