Smith, Mary Eugenia, 90, of Louisville, KY passed away on March 25, 2015.

Eugenia was born on January 28, 1925, in Knoblick, KY to the late Carl and Euna Boston. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence T. Smith; one daughter, Janice Smith; brothers, Ernest Boston, and Arlice Boston.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Gatewood, and Ernie Smith (Katherine); grandchildren, Richard Gatewood, Jr. (Tori), Janice, Sophia, and Elisa; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Harrison, and Jett Gatewood.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A funeral service to honor the life of Eugenia will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
