Mary Ruth Elliott

Mary Ruth Elliott, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. Mary loved her family, especially her granddaughter, and looked forward to family reunions. She loved tending to her flower gardens and had a big heart for animals.

She was born on November 26, 1934 in Sugar Grove, Kentucky to Virgil and Clara Cox. She is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Cox, mother, Clara Cox, husband, Howard W. Elliott, and granddaughter, Shelli Kessinger. Also siblings, Frank Cox, Oscar Cox, JC Cox, Dorothy Stiebel, and Joe Cox.

Mary is survived by her loving family, daughters Janet Kessinger and Gail L. Elliott, and siblings Shirley Blanton and Walter Cox.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
