Mary Frances Coy

Mary Frances Coy, known as Frances, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 1, 2026. She was born on March 16, 1941, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to William and Bessie Barnes.

Frances will be remembered as a happy, sweet, and loveable woman whose outgoing nature made others feel welcome wherever she went. She never met a stranger, and her warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was a devoted mother, an excellent cook, and a talented seamstress who loved to sew. She also enjoyed antiquing, tending her indoor plants, traveling, and going to conventions. A member of St. Patrick's Church, she carried her faith with her throughout her life.

Above all else, Frances was most proud of her family, who were the center of her life and the source of her greatest joy. She shared 67 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Terry John Coy, and together they built a family that remained deeply important to her. She is survived by her husband, Terry; her children, Terry Coy, Jr.,(Jeanna), Theresa Warren, Mary Elizabeth Brunner (Jim), and Michael Edward Coy; her grandchildren, Ashley, Robbie, Sydney, and Michael; her great-grandchildren, Lilly, Lucas, Asher, Sammy, Abigail, and Jaxson; and her sister, Carolyn Herndon. The love she gave to her family will continue to be felt across generations, and her presence will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Barnes and Bessie Barnes.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm on , Monday, October 5, 2026 at , Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY, 40243. Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY, 40243. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery - Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mary Frances Coy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and love for family. She will be remembered with deep affection and lasting gratitude by those who had the blessing of knowing her.
