Mary Ann Collard

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ann Collard, age 70, who peacefully departed this life on June 3, 2025. Born on February 19, 1955, Mary was a beloved daughter of the late Lawerence and Christine Collard.

Mary was a devoted sister, family member, and friend, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength. She cherished her family deeply and carried forward the love and values instilled by her parents. Throughout her life, she touched many hearts with her generosity and gentle spirit.

She was an avid bowler, finding joy in rolling strikes and sharing laughter at the lanes. But perhaps nothing brought her more delight than sitting down at the poker table, skillfully playing her hand, and unapologetically taking everyone’s money. Her competitive spirit and sharp wit made every game an unforgettable experience.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawerence and Christine Collard, as well as her dear siblings: Janice Smith, Susie Bushong, Elaine Nellie Collard, Patricia Meredith Collard, and Lawerence Eddie Collard.

Mary’s legacy will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved her. Her strength, compassion, and kindness will continue to inspire the beloved family and friends she leaves behind.

A visitation to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the funeral home.

She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
