Mary Louise Clark, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025. She was born on August 27, 1937, to the late David “Dave” and Evelyn (Robertson) Adamson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James “Jim” Clark, and siblings Aileen Bryant, Darlene Redmon, Hulan, Buford, and James “Jimmy” Adamson.
Mary was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in Sunday School, worship services, weekly meals, study groups, and church committees. She especially enjoyed writing personal notes of encouragement to fellow members.
Mary had a deep love for her family. She enjoyed reading, tending to plants and flowers, and was an avid supporter of University of Louisville basketball. Together with her husband, Jim, she enjoyed and created rustic Americana folk art, which they sold nationally and at a small store they operated for several years.
Mary is survived by her children, Greg Clark, Krista Grabowski, and Lori White (Stephen); grandchildren, Sterling White (Nayeli), Amanda Grabowski, Victoria White, Joshua Grabowski, and Andrew White; great-grandson, Allistair; and brother, David Adamson (Norma).
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, July 24 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). A prayer service, followed by burial, will be held at 11am on Friday, July 25, at Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Road, Crestwood, KY 40014).
