Mary Lou Benningfield, 75, of Clarksville, IN passed away on September 4, 2017. She was a member of Colgate Baptist Church and was actively involved in their Homeless Ministry Program. One of her deepest passions was her fur babies, Little Bit and Sissy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Wayne Benningfield; parents, Helen Hoagland and James A. Powell and brother, James C. Powell

Mary is survived by her children, Darrell (Linda) Benningfield, Dan (Vanessa) Benningfield, Denise Dixon, Dennis Benningfield and Dwight (Brenda) Benningfield; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; niece, Tracie Adams and nephew, Troy Powell

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions from 5pm-8pm. A celebration of Mary's life will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the funeral home beginning at 1:30pm.

Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
