Mary Anne Allen, born on January 15, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. She was a remarkable individual who dedicated her life to caring for others. For over 20 years, she worked as a caregiver, embodying compassion and dedication in every role she embraced.
A proud graduate of Eastern High School, Mary was known for her hardworking and honest nature. She poured her heart into everything she did, always putting her family first, ensuring their needs were met with unwavering love and support. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she proactively cared for her adopted community, treating everyone as if they were her own children.
Mary embraced her roles as a devoted mother, a loving Mimi, a beloved sister, compassionate aunt, and a cherished friend. She found joy in the simplest things in life, such as gardening, playing games, and painting her fingernails. An engaged member of her community, she attended First Capital Christian Church in Corydon, Indiana, where her faith further inspired her profound care for others.
Mary's passion for life included dressing up for Halloween—the witch costume being her all-time favorite—and she reveled in the moments spent nurturing her beautiful flower beds. Her proudest accomplishments were undeniably watching her family grow, a testament to her commitment to family values and the strong bonds she cultivated over the years.
She leaves behind her beloved children: Gregory (Lakan) Scott, Jacob Allen, Misty Hawkins, and Jadein Ros. Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Kayleigh Scott, Braylin Fultz, Kynleigh Springer, Drevan Hill, Hailei Hill, and Kyndillion Nelson. Mary's siblings—Roy (Sherrie) Bischof, Anita (Larry) Ground, and Ralph (Donna) Bischof, Jr.—will carry her memory close to their hearts, along with a myriad of loving relatives and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Francis Bischof; her mother, Nancy Jean Jones; her sister, Elizabeth Jean Bischof-Thomas; and her beloved son, Daniel Scott, as well as her cherished nephews, Samuel and Zachary Bischof-Thomas.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, December 11, from 1:30pm-4:00pm with a celebration of life to follow at 4:00pm, at First Capital Christian Church, 305 Oliver St, Corydon, IN 47112.
As we remember Mary Anne Allen, we celebrate a life filled with love, dedication, and joy, and we are forever grateful for the indelible mark she has left on each of us. Her spirit will shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
