Mary Ann (Voll) Smith, 82, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Mary Ann was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Phi Beta Psi, and had attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for many years. 

Born on March 3, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Vincent and Dorothy (McKiernan) Voll. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her son, Tim; her granddaughter, Krista; and her siblings, Martha Voll, Libby Kruer, and Tom Voll.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Marci Smith (Angie) and Chris Smith (Laura), her grandchildren, Megan and Nathan Smith, who will remember her warmth, kindness and welcoming home. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Jim Voll and Susie Ems (Jake), as well as brother-in-law, Tom Kruer, and a host of cousins and extended family members.

Mary Ann's wish was to be cremated and a gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. She will be laid to rest privately at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mount St. Francis Center for Spirituality.
