Mary Ann (Cheney) Thompson, 88, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015. She attended Presentation Academy and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker who loved china painting.
Mary Ann was born on February 20, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clifford and Florence (Heil) Cheney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jake D. Thompson, Jr.,; brothers, Charles and Tommy Cheney; sisters, Dorothy Mae Cheney, Doris Sullivan, and Florence Adame.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Tommie Thompson, Linda Paine (Nick), and Mark Thompson (Karla); grandchildren, Nikki Cornett, Abbi Locke (Bryan), Konner Thompson, and Spencer Thompson; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Cheney; sister-in-law, Pat, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen in regards to Mary Ann's wishes. A Funeral Mass, celebrating Mary Ann's life, will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road, Louisville, KY, with entombment to follow at a later date in the Columbarium at Cave Hill Cemetery.
