Mary Alice Philpot
January 29, 1922 — October 11, 2015
Mary Alice Philpot, age 93, of Leitchfield, Ky., passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was originally from the Russell County area, she moved to Louisville, then Henry County. Afterwards she joined her daughter in Leitchfield. Mary was a member of Eminence United Pentecostal Church and Church of Joy in Leitchfield, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulus Philpot; a son, Nathan Philpot; her parents, Robert Lee and Lucinda Wilson Cooper; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Shanna Shuck (Eddie) and Sheila Lowe (Nathan); grandchildren, Aaron Shuck, Adam Shuck, Dwayne Lowe (Tonya), Jeremy Lowe, Tabitha Lowe; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 2:30pm Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Jeffersontown Cemetery at the corner of Watterson Trail and Billtown Road in Jeffersontown.
Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown is entrusted with arrangements.
