Marvin Lee Weathers, Jr.

Marvin Lee Weathers, Jr., 63, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, formerly of New Albany, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Marvin was a retired lieutenant and K-9 officer from the Jeffersonville Police Department with 33 years of service. He was a member of the Jeffersonville F.O.P. Lodge 100 and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

He was born on February 14, 1955, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Marjorie (Foreman) and Marvin L. Weathers, Sr.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Vickie Lynn (Leonard) Weathers; son, Ryan Lee Weathers; granddaughters, Nicole and Alexis Weathers; and uncle, Thomas B. Foreman.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of the service. His F.O.P. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

The family requests that contributions in Marvin's memory be made to the J.B Ogle Animal Shelter in Jeffersonville.
