Marvin "Wayne" Waddle, 69, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Louisville and Cub Run, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019. Marvin was retired from Federal Government. Marvin graduated from Louisville Male High School Class of 68. He joined the US Army and was stationed in Maryland. Then he became a Federal Employee and graduated George Washington University. Later his government job took him to London, England for 6 years, and then Mechaniacsburg, Penn where he then retired to live in Washington, DC. Marvin later then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to be close to his niece and nephew, Sharon (Joe) White and family. Marvin enjoyed the weather and lakes in North Carolina. He was a muscle car enthusiast , and enjoyed driving his Corvette. Marvin also spent time as a private pilot.
He was born on January 23, 1950 in Hart County, Kentucky to Raymond and Della (Meredith) Waddle. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Preston Waddle, sisters, Flora Waddle, and Elva Vincent, brother-in-laws, Winston Cosby, and Howard Vincent.
Marvin is survived by his loving, sisters, Blanchie (Sol) Kelman, Dora Cosby, and Nora Mae Pointer, brother Layman Waddle, and sister-in-law Marilyn Waddle. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 12 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 1 pm (Central Time) in Cherry Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Cub Run, Kentucky.
