Edmonson, Marvin Lee "Ed", 84, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 30, 2016.
Ed was an Air Force veteran. He enjoyed wood working, traveling and spending time at the lake, on his house boat.
Ed was born on June 5, 1932 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Marvin Edmonson and Minnie Edmonson-Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Edmonson; and brother, John "Buddy" Edmonson.
He is survived by his children, Terri Scott (Michael), Joani Vera (Alberto), Charles Edmonson (Marilee); step-children, Robbie Harmon (Michael), Robert Harrell (Roseanne), Dacia Snelling (Charles), John Harrell (Judy), Jan Moir (Tony); 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Checkers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). A funeral service to honor the life of Ed will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Robley Rex VA Medical Center (800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206) or the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite # 401, Louisville, KY 40205).
