Marvin Louis Helm, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 27, 2025.
Marvin was born on March 14, 1952, at Red Cross Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He grew up in West Point, Kentucky, where he attended West Point Elementary School and later graduated from Elizabethtown High School. He lived in West Point until 1997, when he moved to Louisville, where he resided until his passing.
In his younger years, Marvin found joy in riding motorcycles and was a proud member of a biker club, enjoying the freedom of the open road and the friendships he built along the way. His selflessness and devotion to family were hallmarks of his life.
Marvin dearly loved his siblings, nieces, and nephews, and he will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
He is survived by his loving twin sister, Marion James; sisters, Patricia Ann Williams of Saginaw, Michigan, and Mary Helm; brothers, Jerry Wayne Helm (Phyllis) and Gregory Helm; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Mack Helm Sr. and Mattie Helm; brothers, Billy Mac Helm (Hattie), Frederic Helm Sr., Robert Earl Helm, and Jodie Mac Williams; and sister, Joyce Lowe.
A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EST. His burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at New Beth Haven Cemetery on Stonestreet Road.
