Marvin Broadbent Bell, Sr., age 78 of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Originally from Cerulean, Kentucky, he was born November 15, 1936 to the late Huston and Gertrude Bingham Bell. He was studying the Bible in preparation to be baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his son, Marvin, Jr.; sisters, Nora Virginia Bell and Ester Bell; his brother, Lacy Thomas Bell.
Mr. Bell is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Martha Ann Satterfield Bell; grandchildren, Gerrelean Bell, Michael Bell and Deneshia Daniels; sisters, Brenda Outing (Calvin), Barbara Bell, Linda Bell and Dorothy Veasley; brother, John Bell (Benice); aunt, Velma Mayfield; uncle, Lincoln Bingham; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, with visitation 12pm until time of service.
Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
