Marvin Lee Amy

Marvin Lee Amy, 71, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019. Marvin loved working on automobiles, playing pool, and being home with his family and beloved companion, Coco.

He was born on October 23, 1947, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Lee and Susie K. (Jones) Amy. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Amy; and grandson, Brandon Amy.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Ann (Blanton) Amy; children, Dana (William) Gee and Jason Amy; siblings, Michael (Sherry) Amy, Steve (Donna) Amy, Pamela (Keith) Bryant, and Melissa Travis; grandchildren, Dustin Amy, Dylan (Carly) Amy, Ryan Amy, Cody Amy, and Hailey Amy; and great-grandchildren, Kayden Amy and Sterling Amy.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Marvin's memory be made to the family in care of Elizabeth Amy.
