Martin R. Levy , 79, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 31, 2016. A retired law professor from the University of Louisville, Mr. Levy also practiced Patent law and was an accomplished Chemical Engineer. He enjoyed boating, skiing and playing the piano.
Martin was born on July 21, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Gus and Mae (Jaffe). Martin is survived by his longtime companion Myrtle Bingham, his son, David Levy; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Levy, granddaughters, Sarah and Abigail Levy; sister, Barbara Levy-Jacobs, her children Jeffrey Jacobs and Jenifer Agosti and their respective families; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). His Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Road, Crestwood, KY 40014).
