Martin Dean "Marty" Grider, 51, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. He was a long-time employee of the United Parcel Service in Louisville. Marty enjoyed horse racing, as well as visiting the casino. He loved to golf, fish, and go camping and boating. Marty, more than anything else in life, enjoyed spending time with his family and making others laugh.
He was born on April 9, 1964, in New Albany to Ronald Grider and Elizabeth (Eve) Hochadel. Marty is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lisa (Seidl) Grider; sons, Kyle Grider (Meagan Curtis) and Dylan Grider; and he was preceded in death by Joshua Grider. Along with his parents, he is also survived by his siblings, Mark Grider (Melinda) and Missi Cox (Troy); mother-in-law, Janet Armstrong (Bob); fathers-in-law, Tom Rannells and Gerald Seidl (Becky); sister-in-law, Kelly Campbell; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 10:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
