Martha Jane Willeford

Martha Jane (Hickerson) Willeford, 70, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016, in Madison, Indiana. She worked at U of L Dental School for over 20 years before retiring as a dental assistant. Martha was a long-time member of Charlestown Independent Church.

She was born on August 14, 1946, in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, to the late Richard and Martha (Howlett) Hickerson. Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Willeford; and brothers, Charles Rummage and David Hickerson.

Martha is survived by her son, Richard Nichols (Gina); step-children, Pam, Hugh, Debbie and Cindy; and her beloved Dachshund companion, Rollo.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Martinsburg Cemetery in New Pekin, Indiana.
