Martha Ann Richardson, 83, of Louisville, KY, passed away June 6, 2020 at Norton Audubon Hospital with her loving husband by her side.
Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She worked as a nurse's aide in labor and delivery at St. Joseph Infirmary before starting a family and dedicating her life as a wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved her Kentucky Wildcats. Football and basketball season were her favorite time to cheer on her beloved cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Sermon and Stella and Kenneth Sprouse (step-father), and her loving brother Marvin Sermon.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leland P Richardson; daughters LeaAnn Harris (Dave), Mary Donna Brendemuehl (Jack), Melissa Hodges (Jason) and son Chris Richardson (Karen); 9 grandchildren, Bryan Seger, Brad Seger, Amanda Strecker, Paul Richardson, Vicki Robinson, Laura Jackson, Joey Long, Josh Long, and Samantha Hodges; 8 great-grandchildren, Jordan Cruse, Brooke Seger, Jenna Seger, Austin Seger, Aiden Jackson, Cyrus Strecker, Stella and Zeke Richardson and 2 great-grandson's due in the fall; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 3-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church (3938 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, KY 40213) with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery (due to Covid-19 restrictions, immediate family only).
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Hosparus of Louisville in memory of Martha.
