Martha J. Quinker, born on March 29, 1945, in Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully in her hometown on October 1, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will resonate through her family and friends for generations to come.
Martha dedicated her life to the most important role she held: that of an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother. As a giver and a doer, she was known for her nurturing nature, bringing joy to all around her. After the passing of her beloved husband, Robert J. Quinker, Jr., Martha continued her journey of love by becoming a caregiver to friends and family in need, showing her unwavering commitment to those she cherished.
Her playful spirit and incredible sense of humor made every gathering memorable. Martha enjoyed playing games like Yahtzee and Rummy with her family and friends, often filling their hearts with laughter. She fondly remembered the fishing and camping trips shared with her husband and grandchildren, moments that created lasting memories and bonds.
Martha is survived by her loving daughter, Mary T. Quinker; her sons, Robert Joseph (Karen) Quinker, III, and James Anthony Quinker; eight cherished grandchildren, Alicia, Angela, Shawna, Shandi, Sara, Marybeth, Geneva, and Brandt; and sixteen great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Additionally, she is survived by her two sisters, Helen Fuchs and Mary Marshall; two brothers, Charlie Clark and Bobby Clark; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who all held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Quinker, Jr.; her father, Charles Clark; her mother, Minnie (Schneider) Clark; and eight siblings.
Martha's presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire her family and friends. Her belief that "You either like me or you don't, and if you don't it's your loss" embodies the vibrant personality that left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life for Martha will be taking place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Mary Quinker.
