Pennington, Martha Kennady 'Kit', 97, of Nashville, TN, passed away November 13, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert James Pennington, son Gary Lee Pennington and parents, Corrie and Hiter Kennady.
Martha is survived by her son, Jim Pennington (Carolyn); daughters, Dianne Nichols and Lisabeth Pennington Bevins (Philip); four grandchildren, Mike Nichols, Laura Mobley, Chris Pennington and Emily Lockwood; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Kit, as her husband and friends knew her was an accomplished fiber artist and longtime member of the Handweavers Guild of Nashville. During WWII she worked at Curtis-Wright in Louisville but her true calling was as a loving mother and homemaker.
Services will be held at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Old Hickory TN at 3pm Central Time, Friday November 16. Visitation is 1pm to 3pm followed by graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the Treyton Oak Towers Employee Education Fund.
