Martha "Marty" Moore, 91, passed peacefully with her family in attendance in LaGrange, KY on Monday, November 2, 2020.
She was born on May 15, 1929 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Jewel and Pearl (Dees) McElrath. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Raymond Ledbetter Moore II and three sisters Carolyn McLendon, Nancy Tucker and Florence Warwick.
Marty had a B.S. degree in music education at Columbia College in Columbia, S.C., and taught middle school English for over 10 years. She was a music teacher and pianist at Ray's churches where he was the pastor. Marty was an avid sports enthusiast, watching basketball, tennis, and football.
Martha is survived by her son John Stephen Moore, daughter in-law Carol Sue Webb Moore, and grandson Nicholas Webb Moore.
Per Martha's wish cremation was chosen and all services will be private.
Special thanks to the Providence Richwood facility in LaGrange, KY for their skill, love, and patience while taking care of Marty over the past five years.
