Martha Lee (Schuley) Norton, 93, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015. She enjoyed camping and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was born on August 28, 1921 in New Albany to the late Eugene and Ellen (Blunk) Schuley. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Parsley; brother, Robert Schuley; and first husband, Stanley Schmidt.
Martha is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Robert Norton; daughters, Laura Norton (Ron Turner), Julie Schaefer (Dwight); sisters, Betty Wheeler, Helen Lynch; grandchildren, Brent Bagshaw (Cindy), Sarah Schaefer (fiance, Andrew Bobal), and Sam Schaefer.
Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
The family would like to express gratitude to the caregivers and Hosparus nurses for the excellent care they have provided to Martha over the last few weeks.
Contributions in Martha's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205) or to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (624 E. Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
