Martha "Sue" Clark of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. She was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky to the late William Johnson Clark and Valetta McCarty Clark. Sue graduated from Eminence Independent High School and attended Kentucky Business College. Sue was a champion spelling bee award recipient in high school. She loved country music, driving in the country and being with family and friends. Sue especially loved all her babysitting jobs with nieces and nephews, great-niece and nephew, and was always ready to help anyone with anything. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church Chapel in the Woods and was a member of their Bible Study group. She worked at Central State Hospital and Kentuckiana Material Handling as a receptionist and bookkeeper. Sue loved playing Scrabble and board games and was an excellent seamstress.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannie Yeary; and her cousins, Allen Clark and Theresa McCarty.
Sue is survived by her brother-in-law, David Yeary; nephew, Damon Yeary (Rebecca); great niece and nephew, Katherine and Nash Yeary; best friends, Paul and Sara Yeary; cousins, Tammy McCarty, Wanda Stucker, Paige Gabhart (Betty), Lewis Clark (Sandy), Anna Marie Clark, William Clark and Brianna Clark; aunt, Nancy McCarty; Theresa McCarty's son, Blake; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Sue's life will be there at 11am, followed by burial in Eminence Cemetery, Eminence, Kentucky.
Memorials may be made to Hosparus or the donors charity of choice in Sue's name.
