Martha Ann Arthur

Martha Ann Arthur passed away on July 2, 2024.  She was a talented artist, seamstress, cook and poet. Martha worked at Merle Norman and Remnant Fabric as a sales associate.  Martha was a secretary for Kentuckiana Tole Painting Association Louisville Chapel and also Triple L at South Jefferson Baptist Church were she was also a member.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.  Martha will be truly missed, but will forever live in our hearts.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Arthur; brother, Don Harrell; parents, Erastus and Lee Harrell; nephew, Craig Wilkerson; brother-in-law, Jim Wilkerson; son-in-law, Tom Cox and her grandson, Carter Borho.

Martha leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Debbie Cox, Richard (Jodi) Arthur and Michael (Billie) Arthur; grandchildren Jennifer (Les) Cox-Howell, Cassie Arthur, Abbie (Nick) Bean, Dorie (Jason) Thacker, Chase (Brooke) Arthur and Ty (Shelby) Arthur; great-grandchildren, Kaeson, Jude, Hollis, Tripp, Everlee, Porter, Noralee, Axel and Olive; sister, Brenda (Alan) Halliquest; nephew, Jon Wilkerson and fur babies, Sammy and Sassy. 

A celebration of Martha's life will be Saturday, July 20, 2024, at South Jefferson Baptist Church, 6505 Pendleton Road, Louisville, KY, beginning at 2pm.
