Marshell Lynn (McKennon) Gilbert, 64, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Marshell loved going for rides in the country and along the river, crafting, and loving on her grandchildren and her family.

She was born on October 14, 1954, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to Richard McKennon and Ruby Golden. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Duffy Akemon, Pat McKennon, Pam McKennon, and Bobby McKennon; and the father of her children and life-long partner, Paul Gilbert.

Marshell is survived by her daughters, Wendy Bryant and Melissa Kennedy; grandchildren, Jordan Hunt, Darren Kennedy, Nathan Kennedy, Hannah Bryant, and Jack Bryant; siblings, Tony McKennon, Teresa Abell, Julie Holland, and Jerry Keach.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with cremation to follow according to her wishes.

The family requests that contributions in Marshell's memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
