Marshall B. Stamper, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and compassionate friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana, surrounded by the family he treasured most. Born on July 27, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, Marshall lived a life marked by hard work, honesty, and straightforwardness, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.

Marshall’s journey through life was anchored by his dedication to his family and his career in the transportation industry. He worked diligently as a truck driver, committing himself faithfully to his profession with pride and unwavering resolve. His proudest accomplishment was not found in trophies or accolades, but in watching his family grow and flourish—a true testament to the depth of his love and devotion.

Marshall was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, finding joy in the freedom of riding. In his garage, he was a skilled handyman, always eager to tinker with motors and equipment, lending his talents generously to friends and family alike. Marshall enjoyed watching a variety of sports, with football and basketball being the two he enjoyed most, and he loved cheering on the Louisville Cardinals. The holidays, especially Thanksgiving, held a special place in his heart, offering precious moments to gather and share joy with his loved ones.

Marshall’s character shone in every role he embraced—loyal husband, devoted father, and beloved grandfather. He was hardworking, honest, and straightforward, a man who stood firmly by his principles and was always ready to offer a helping hand. His compassion and steadfast loyalty left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Son, Alex (Ariel) Stamper; Daughter, April (Bryan) Martin; Daughter, Ashley (Justin) Massingille; and Son, Jesse (Alexus) Stamper. His legacy of love continues through his grandchildren: Grandson, Colton Tomblin; Granddaughter, Madilyn Tomblin; Granddaughter, Serenity Stamper; and Grandson, Zachary Stamper.

Marshall was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angela Jeanette Stamper, and his parents, Leona and Osa Stamper, whose memories live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
