Marsha Ann Sils, aged 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2026. Marsha was a cherished mother, Mawmaw, and friend, remembered for her deep love and devotion to her family. She exemplified a remarkable work ethic, always supporting her loved ones with unwavering dedication.
A woman of many talents, Marsha found joy in crafts, enjoying activities such as coloring. Her skills extended to baking and cake decorating, where she brought smiles to many with her delicious creations. Marsha was also an enthusiastic shopper and especially cherished her time spent camping at Jellystone with her family. Her home was a reflection of her personality, meticulously maintained and filled with warmth.
Born on February 3, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of William and Edna (Hammond) Sils. Marsha is preceded in death by her father, William Theodore Sils; her mother, Edna Catherine Sils; and her brother, Joe Sils.
Marsha's legacy continues through her loving family, including her sons, Patrick (Kelli) Walsh and Andrew Walsh; her daughter, Brittani Gamble; her grandchildren, Garrett Walsh, Kaitlyn Walsh, and Isaac Walsh; her sister-in-law, Janie Sils; her caregiver, Crystal Blackwell; her grand dog, Jo Jo; along with a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Visitation for Marsha will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of her life will take place at 6:30 p.m. on the same day.
In honor of Marsha’s spirit, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
