Marleen Sue Landreth, born on June 26, 1955, in Corydon, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2025. She graced this world with her warmth and unwavering faith, and she leaves behind a legacy built upon her devotion to family and church.
Marleen's life was a testament to her belief that faith should be your cornerstone. If asked what mattered most to her, she would dutifully proclaim, "church, church, church." Her commitment to the church was more than just participation; it was the very fabric of her daily life. Alongside her beloved husband, Bro. Danny Landreth, they embarked on a journey that saw them start and lead numerous churches together. Their most recent affiliation was with the Church of God of Prophecy in Salem, Indiana, where they found solace, community, and purpose.
Marleen was a cherished wife of 51 years to Bro. Danny, a partnership marked by love and shared convictions. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Patricia Landreth, Matthew Landreth, and Andrew Landreth (Kelsey). Their family extended even further with the joy of a granddaughter, Sarah Landreth, who brought immense pride to Marleen's heart; along with her daughter-in-law, Jeannie Landreth.
She is also survived by her siblings, including Dr. Sandra Friesen (Dr. Bob), Mark Burns (Denise), and Danny Burns, all of whom provided her with love and support throughout her life. Marleen was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Burns and Phyllis Ayers Burns.
Marleen's legacy will be carried on through her devoted family, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
