Mark Phelps, 44, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. He was born on June 3, 1976 in Louisville, Kentucky to Lloyd Phelps and Patricia Stoess. Mark was the #1 karaoke DJ in Louisville for 3 years in a row. He was an award winning painter for 14 years. He was a true patriot and loved his country and his president! He was a loving husband and a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and friend. #MakeHeavenGreatAgain
He is preceded in death by his step-father, Norman Stoess, Sr.; his mother-in-law, Neida Davis; a grandmother, Joyce "Granny" Britt; and a sister-in-law, Mandi Arnold.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 23 years, Veronica Phelps; children, Anthony Phelps, Patricia Phelps, Marcus Phelps, Madison Phelps, Emily Phelps; parents, Patricia Stoess and Lloyd Phelps; siblings, Timothy (Jennifer) Phelps, David Kirk, Norman (Leann) Stoess, Jr., Lorrie Lawrence, and Michael Johnson; nieces, Kaylynn and Imani Stoess, Rachel, Jesse, Lucy and Lily Kirk, Taylor Weidman, Rhonda Downard, and Emily Lawrence; nephews, Alex Arnold and Norman Stoess, III; and a host of extended family members and friends who all loved him dearly.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Vine Grove Cemetery,
