Marjory H. Cherry

August 8, 1924 — January 26, 2019

Marjory H. Cherry, 94, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019.

She was born on August 8, 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Willah Mae (Tabor) Harris. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Cherry, Sr., and brother Carl Wayne Harris.

Marjory was a delight and recognized for her contagious laugh and sense of humor. Marge was married to her husband George for 55 years. During their marriage they shared the love of travel, kindled by an early marriage life in China while George served in the U.S. Navy. Marge volunteered faithfully at Northeast Christian Church, where her life impacted others. She was a good friend, mentor and a confidant to many younger women at the church.

Margie raised two sons Bob (Vicki) and Steve (Gwen), had 5 grandchildren; Stephanie Haugen (Mark), Tara Starbuck (David), Lindsay Keck (Joey), Laura Holland (Phillip), Tom Cherry (Lauren) and 14 great-grandchildren. She played an enormous role in her grandchildren's life and character development, where today they view her as a trusted friend.
