Marjorie E. Houghton

MARJORIE E. [EMERY] HOUGHTON, 89, of Louisville, KY, died on February 24, 2023. She was a native of Bad Axe, Michigan and at the age of 13 moved to a home on Inkster road in Taylor Township, Michigan. She attended Melvindale HS and in 1950 she attended Ferris Institute in Big Rapids, Michigan where she received a secretarial diploma. On September 19, 1952 she married the man who lived across the street from her on Inkster road, Lloyd B. Houghton, Jr. (died 1-7-2021). Marjorie and Lloyd moved to Louisville from Livonia, Michigan 42 years ago. Marjorie is survived by her two sons, Steven B. of Elk Rapids, MI; and James L. of Louisville, KY; one daughter, Jeannie M. Schults of Milford, MI; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and preceded in death by one granddaughter. Both Marjorie and Lloyd will be interred at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland, Michigan in April.
