Marion Dempsey Overstreet , 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
He was born on January 6, 1947 in Columbia , Kentucky to Oval and Rachel Overstreet. Marion is most remembered for being the owner and operator of Overstreet Auto Repair for over 30 years. He was a loving Husband, Father, PawPaw, Brother, and a friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Oval E Overstreet, Mother, Rachel Rice, Step-Mother, Catherine Overstreet, Grandson, Heaven-Lee Matheny, Sister, Mae Canady, Brother, Frank Alan Overstreet, and Step-Brother, Jessie Woodcock.
Marion is survived by his loving Wife of 51 years, Joan Overstreet, Daughter, Stephanie Overstreet, Son, Brad (Erica) Overstreet, Daughter, Anita (Brian Stitch) Overstreet, Son, Jason (Jennifer) Overstreet, Daughter, Amber (Tyler) Weldon, Step-Sister, Covie Miller, Sister, Shelia (Bill ) Newton, Grandchildren, Timothy, Tyler, Christopher, Nichole, Jordan, Abby, Ashton, Autumn, Jackson, Rileigh, Lillian, and Kora-Lynn, Great Grandchildren, Olivia, Levi, and Honor.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home. The family has chosen cremation services.
