Marilyn Jean Thrift

Marilyn Jean Thrift, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Marilyn was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Shady Ladies, and a member of the Moose Lodge. She was the only female police officer in Wrangell, Alaska.

She was born on October 6, 1930 in Battle Creek, Michigan to James and Teressa (Renew) Mulgrew. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles J. Thrift, sister, Donna Kurti, brother, James Mulgrew, sister, Dorothy McNalley, sister, Joanne Miller, brother, Richard Mulgrew, sister, Patricia Tyler.

She is survived by three nephews, Eric Scott (Tamra) Burbank, John A. Burbank and Allen W. Burbank.
