Marilyn Schumacher

Marilyn Schumacher, born June 6, 1938, in West Plains, Missouri, passed away on December 7, 2021, at age 83, in Louisville, Kentucky. Marilyn was a graduate of the University of Missouri and trained to be a teacher, but ultimately worked in interior design and elder care. In 1969, she moved to Louisville with her husband, Richard William Schumacher (divorced), who precedes her in death. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dixon and Roberta Green, also preceded her in death.

Her cherished friends, Kyra Hackley and Gioia Patton, who both shared her love of the arts, were constant companions in life and in her final days. She also leaves behind two adult children, Leslie Leite and Eric Schumacher (Madison); as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandkids; and a host of relatives and friends.

Marilyn wish was to be cremated. Services are pending.
