Marilyn "Sue" (Budd) Porter

Marilyn "Sue" (Budd) Porter, 80, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Jeffersonville. Sue loved collecting and selling jewelry, catering, designing floral arrangements, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

She was born on January 24, 1938, in New Castle, Indiana, to the late Harry and Echo (Helton) Budd. Along with her parents, Sue was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Sue is survived by her husband of 59 years, Melvin E. Porter; children, Pam Schlageter (Jeff) and Kent Porter (Kelli); grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kristin Suzann Porter and Nicholas Schlageter; brothers Maurice and John Budd; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) and will continue from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (321 East Market Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church (321 East Market Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).
