Marilyn "Jeanne" (Etienne) Newton

Marilyn "Jeanne" (Etienne) Newton , 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was a former parishioner at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold.

She was born on February 8, 1937 in Perry County, Indiana to James and Frances (Little) Etienne. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel Newton; children, Michael Newton, Francie Newton, Marcia Benjamin; and siblings Norma Marshall, Jim, Donald and David Etienne.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Dee Inzer (Scott), Dan Newton (Terry), Jim Newton (Lynn), Jackie McManus; siblings, Mary Jo Wiley, George Etienne (Lora Lee); 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Jeanne's wish was to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. She will be laid to rest at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery in Leopold, Indiana.
