Marilyn Kay Music

Marilyn Kay Music, age 81 of Lagrange, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 26, 2025.  She graduated from IP Gray High School and earned a Masters Degree from Ball State University.  Marilyn was an educator that taught at Redkey Elementary School and was a director and teacher for Little Prairie Preschool.  Being a minister's wife, her responsibilities were wide and varied.  She was a member of Southeast Christian Church.  An avid sports fan, she attended many of her son's and grandson's games.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was a friend to everyone.  

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Freda Beckman Gleeson; siblings, Kenneth Gleeson and his wife, Catherine, Norma Gleeson, Gene Gleeson and his wife Darlene, and Larry Gleeson; her brother-in-laws, Earl Music and Jack Harris.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Larry; sons, Michael Music (Maranda) and Matthew Music; four grandchildren, Sidney, Brooke, Gage and Mason; two great-grandchildren, Braelynn and Bryar; sister-in-laws, Kay Gleeson and Dee Harris; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, June 2, 2025 from 10am to 12pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.  A celebration of Marilyn's life will be at 12pm Eastern Time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Little Prairie Cemetery in Albion, Illinois on Tuesday, June 3rd at 2pm Central Time.  Those planning on attending the graveside service should meet there at that date and time.
