Marilyn J. Jones "Mama Tuckie", 57, entered into eternal peace on Monday, April 6, 2015, at the Hosparus Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Louisville, KY. She accepted Christ at a young age and she was once a member of N' Street Baptist Church.
Marilyn was born on April 7, 1957, a daughter of the late Pauline Jones. She attended Manual High School and completed her education earning a General Equivalency Diploma in 1981. Marilyn worked for Levey Company and performed contracted work through her employer at Churchill Downs and The Kentucky Fairgrounds for over 20 years.
Marilyn enjoyed singing, cooking, dancing and having a good time with family and friends. She enjoyed helping and caring for others and she loved the children. She was a devoted aunt, sister, cousin and friend to many. She was always there to help when needed.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Annabelle George; mother, Pauline Jones; her sister Paulette Doyle; her Aunt Lottie Bell Williams and her nephew, Kris Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Shelia Lovette; her aunt Gertrude Childress; brother in law, William Doyle Sr.; a long time special friend, Jim Morris; nieces and nephews, William (Tammy)Doyle Jr., Lisa Doyle, Gwen(Fred)Howard and Anjai Lovette; great nieces and nephews, Antwan Doyle(Danielle), William Doyle III, Kennedi Doyle, Paige and Gavin Howard, Antoinette Doyle and James Ellis Jr; one great- great niece, Esme Doyle; and many loving nieces, nephews and other wonderful, caring relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Fountain of Life Ministries (1234 S. Floyd Street, Louisville, KY) from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Marilyn's life beginning at 1pm with burial to following at Louisville Cemetery.
