Marilyn Helen Bensing

Marilyn Helen Bensing, 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2022.

She was born on September 7, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Henry and Helen Bellman. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Morgan Julius.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Bensing, of Jeffersonville, Indiana; daughters, Suzanne Julius (Wayne Strobel) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Julie Bensing of Charlestown, Indiana, and Johanna Lively (George) of Helotes, Texas; son, Michael Bensing (Paige) of Lexington, Kentucky; 3 sisters; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 East 8th Street, New Albany) with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marilyn's memory can be made to the JB Ogle Animal Shelter & Clark County Humane Society (201 Willinger Lane, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
