Margie Lou (Gribbins) Thomasson

Margie Lou (Gribbins) Thomasson, 73, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She worked for Nu-Yale Cleaners in Jeffersonville for over 40 years. Margie loved reading, especially Stephen King books, and enjoyed spending time in her treehouse that her husband built for her.

She was born on June 28, 1945, in Galesburg, Illinois, to the late James M. and Flossie J. (Jarrett) Gribbins. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Hamilton; and sister, Nancy King.

Margie is survived by her loving husband, William "Rusty" Thomasson; son, Timothy Hamilton (Francine); daughter, Jennifer Anderson; stepchildren, Rob Thomasson (Linda), Tammy Martin (Sam), Jessica Baker (Robbie), Boyd Thomasson, and Vanessa Christian; brother, James Gribbins (Mary); 4 grandchildren, Jeffery Hooker (Kayla), Madison Anderson, Ronnie Lee Hamilton, and Alexis Hamilton; 18 step-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will go towards funeral arrangements and can be made to Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions.
