Margie Elizabeth(Russell) Grimes

Margie Elizabeth (Russell) Grimes ,76, of Greenville,Indiana was called home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She was born on June 23, 1938 in Marion County, Kentucky to William and Frances Russell. Margie was a caring mother and great caregiver. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary American Legion Post 42 in Floyds Knobs.

Along with her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Gerald R. Grimes, brothers, David Bernard and James Robert Russell who died at infancy, a brother Glenn Russell, who was killed in Vietnam, and a sister, Mary Caroldine Russell.

Margie is survived by 2 daughters, Theresa King (Mike) and Karon Anderson (Chris); 3 granddaughters, Ashley Avis (Branden), Erica King and fiancé Joseph, Melissa Kuehner (Jason); 2 grandsons, Hunter Anderson and Jeremy King (Kerrie); 3 great-grandsons, 3 great-granddaughters; 2 brothers, Bill (Carolyn) and Tom (Pat) Russell; 4 sisters, Marcella Laslie(Jim), Shirley Payne(Patrick), Margaret "Trixie" DeDomenico(Tony) and Jane Peyton.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 30, 2015 from 3 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her service will be on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.
