Margie Diane Blevins, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 72. Born on January 22, 1954, in Louisville, Margie’s life was defined by her warm heart, her love for family, and her unique passions that brought color and joy to all who knew her.
Margie grew up in Louisville and maintained deep roots within her community throughout her life. She was known for her fondness for thrifting—always on the lookout for a hidden treasure or a story nestled amid the finds. With a keen eye and gentle humor, Margie built memorable collections of rocks, salt and pepper shakers, and stuffed animals, each item a testament to her appreciation for the simple pleasures and whimsical moments of life.
Her greatest joys, however, were found in the time she spent with her family. Margie cherished the special traditions she created with her nieces and nephews, affectionately known as "Margie Days." These moments were filled with laughter, adventure, and love, leaving a legacy of fond memories with those she held dearest.
Margie is survived by her loving sisters, Donna Ochsner and Melanie Hooper; her cherished nieces, Jami Ochsner, Ginny, Sara, Elizabeth, and Shoshanna; her nephews, Aaron and Joseph; as well as her much-loved great-nieces and great-nephews. The deep bonds she shared with her family enriched their lives and will continue to be treasured for years to come.
She is preceded in death by her devoted parents, Clarence and Virginia Blevins, and her dear brother Danny Blevins. Though she has left this world, Margie’s gentle spirit, kindness, and the joy she brought to her family and friends will live on in the memories shared and in the bonds she nurtured.
Margie’s family invites friends and loved ones to share a memory or leave a message of condolence in the guestbook below, joining together in honoring a life that touched many and is deeply missed.
Margie Diane Blevins will be remembered always for her loving nature, her zest for life’s little surprises, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
