Margie Yvonne Baize

Margie Y. Baize, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Margie was a loving mother to many and a natural mother to one, granny, and sister.

She was born on March 3, 1941 in Baizetown, Kentucky to Lawrence and Marcella (Embry) Smith. She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Smith, mother, Marcella Smith, siblings, Bobby Gene Smith, Sr. and Wilma Cheryl Mattingly.

Margie is survived by her loving family, daughter, Cheryl Marie Priddy; grandchildren, Taylor Lauren Knoertzer and Justin Thomas Knoertzer; husband, Wendell R. Baize. As well as a host of family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm CST on Friday, at New Zion Missionary Baptist church (6990 Hwy 505 S. Baizetown, KY 42349) with burial to follow at East Fairview Cemetery in Horse Branch, KY
