Margarette DaVania Muchow was born in Fulton, Kentucky on July 25, 1946 to John S. and Amelia DaVania. She grew up in Brandenburg, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry D. Muchow, her parents and her sister, Suzanne DaVania Hooper.

She is survived by her brother, John E. DaVania (Beverly); brother-in-law, Roger Hooper; nephews, John D. DaVania (Melissa) and daughter Sophia, Matt Hooper (Mindy), Mike Landers (Teddy); nieces, Michele Jeffery, Lesley Hooper and daughter Ashley, Anita Murnin (Bert), Becky Peckham (Doug), Dee Leonard (Ken), Liz Nehren, Sherry Langley, Delvine Nehren, and Lisa Nehren; and many great nieces and nephews.

She attended the University of Kentucky and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Overseas Division of Troy State University with a degree in Accounting/Business Administration. Her graduation ceremony was held at Cambridge College in Cambridge England and the commencement speaker was Winston Churchill's grandson.

For most of her life she worked in health care finance. In 1969, she joined the Extendicare Corporate Office which later became Humana. Under the hospital division, she traveled around the country opening hospitals, converting existing hospital systems, helping design new systems, and installing new systems. She was employed at Humana Hospital Ft. Walton Beach, Humana Hospital Sunrise in Las Vegas, and Humana Hospital Suburban in Louisville.

She was a member in the Edwardsville United Methodist Church, Daughter's of the American Revolution-the Painkeshaw Chapter, the Central Chapter of the Honorable Kentucky Colonels, The Willing Worker Quilting and Crafters, the DAR book club at St. John Church in New Albany, the ladies monthly Knee and Foot Card Group in Georgetown. She served on the Finance Committee, the Staff Parish Relations Committee, the Nominating Committee at EUMC and secretary for the Willing Workers.

A memorial ceremony will be held at the Edwardsville United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Indiana on Monday, March 16. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., service begins at 12:00 p.m. A meal will be served directly after the service in the basement of the church. After the meal, family and friends are welcome to attend a short graveside service at Cap Anderson Cemetery in Brandenburg, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, it was Margarette's wishes to have memorial contributions made to Edwardsville United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
